Summer Teaser-April 2010

The saying goes "April showers bring May flowers" however this April brought 83 degree weather and sunny skies. The unseasonably warm weather created the perfect setting for a random, yet spontaneous boating adventure. On Good Friday, 17 of my dear friends decided to leave work early and meet at a local marina to set out and enjoy Happy Hour on the water. What we didn't expect were 30 mph winds which caused a bit of a delay leaving the marina. Once the waves died down "a little", we determined it was time to eat. All of the restaurants near by had long waiting lists so we decided to take a 30 minute cruise out the old mission peninsula to a local hot spot, The Boat House. It was a great decision as everyone enjoyed delicious food and great wine.
The ride out was a bit rough but quite entertaining at the same time. I give great kudos to our two pregnant friends who were troopers and attempted to smile the entire way. :)
The evening turned out to be one of the most enjoyable times that we've all spent together!! I've truly never seen everyone smile and laugh as much as they did that evening--our stomachs were in pain!
We're bound to have another freeze or snow storm but Friday gave us enough of a taste of what's to come to get us through. I look forward to a many more memories!

For some strange reason the guys separated themselves from us and migrated to the Whaler. I'm assuming that it had something to do with our diaper bag and crib conversations. :)

Enjoying Happy Hour prior to setting out on our wavey adventure!

More laughs

I LOVE this photo! The Whaler was quite entertaining to watch as they repeatedly exited the water for brief periods of time. Great Job Captain Ben!

We made it safe and sound!

17 of the most amazing friends that one could ask for!

The ride home was a complete blast! I'm pretty sure that Dean held the throttle down the entire way. Imagine 50 mph, moonlight sky, great music, dead calm waters, and the lights of downtown TC as our destination. We even had a guest photographer show up and snap nearly 70 photos on our ride back! Thanks Linds! :)

We ended up finishing off the evening by rafting off in the bay and enjoying the lack of boat traffic and more funny stories.

Lot's of bumps and giggles

Rough Ride for the guys!

Late Night Laughs. I crack up laughing everytime I watch/listen to this! :)
